There’s a new No.1 in the Japanese Software sales this week - Super
Robot Wars Z for PS2 knocked Pokemon Platinum down from its perch to take the top spot with 366 000 copies sold. Pokemon Platinum still sits comfortably at No. 2 with 195 000 copies sold this week, which helps its total copies sold climb to 1,474,000.
Last week’s No. 2, Dragonball Origins for DS, falls down to No. 6 with 30,000 units sold this week, while Rhythm Tengoku Gold, also for DS, is a non-mover at No. 3 with 65,000 in sales for the week. The only other non-new entry to the Top Ten, Wii Fit, remains content with a respectable No. 8 and 21,000 sold, down from No. 6 last week.
There are five other new entries this week, all making a suitable impression, but their numbers may seem a little disappointing to those looking forward to their western releases. More after the break...
At No. 4, we have World Destruction for the DS selling 56,000 copies in its debut week, while at No. 5, Kinikkuman for the PS2 nets 35,000 in sales. X-Edge, for PS3, enters the charts at 22,000 copies sold for the week, and Aquanauts Holiday, also for PS3, manages 18,000 sold. The last new entry to the Top Ten, Disaster: Day of Crisis for Wii, was only able to muster up a paltry 14,000 units sold - not great. Until the hardware figures are released later today, here’s the Top Ten selling games in Japan this

Rounding out the rest of the top 30, Daigasso! Band Brothers DX for
DS climbs up a solitary place from No. 12 to No. 11, while Mario Kart
Wii drops out of the Top Ten and falls to No. 13. One Piece Unlimited Cruise: Episode 1 for Wii seems to have fallen a mighty long way, ending up at No. 23 from No. 9 last week, while Monster Hunter Portable 2 G for PSP falls to No. 26 from No. 20.
In the top 30 this week, twelve DS titles charted, Wii manages seven, the PS2 and PSP get four each while the PS3 squeezes three into the chart. No Xbox 360 game managed to rank in the top 30, with Infinite Undiscovery nowhere to be seen.
