Japanese Software Sales for week ending 5/04
Namco Bandai’s Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjou no Kizuna Portable hangs
on to the top spot on the Japanese software chart for a second week in
a row. The PSP title sells 34 000 copies, just beating Mario &
Luigi RPG 3 for the DS which climbs two places to number 2 with 33 000
copies.
Pro Yakyuu Famista DS 2009 from Konami debuts at number 3 with 27 000 copies while Capcom’s Monster Hunter Portable 2G (PSP the Best) moves up three places to number 4 with 24 000 copies. Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 2009 for the PS2 gives Konami its second Top 10 place, selling 16 000 copies to secure fifth place. Koei’s Musou Orochi Z for the PS3 climbs two spots to number 6 with 15 000 copies and the PSP title Disgaea 2 from Nippon Ichi falls to number 7 with 15 000 copies after debuting at number 2 last week. Namco Bandai’s Super Robot Taisen K for the DS slips three places to number 8 with 13 000 copies while Koei’s Winning Post World for the PS3 is this week’s second new entry, debuting at number 9 with 13 000 copies. Nintendo’s Wii Fit re-enters the Top 10 at number 10 with 12 000 copies. Nintendo’s Picross 3D falls out of the Top 10 this week, down one place to number 11 while Yugioh 5D’s: Stardust Accelerator – World Championship 2009 for the DS plummets to number 12 after debuting at number 3 last week. Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 for the PS3 drops from number 9 to number 15 after spending quite a few weeks in the Top 10. Stay tuned for this week’s hardware chart which will be available after tomorrow!
