Over on the hardware side, the Sony portable continues to storm the region.. It's been on top since mid-January and there's no stopping it yet - the PSP has come out on top of yet another week of hardware sales in Japan, almost hitting the 40 thousand mark.

For the week of February 8th-14th, Sony flogged 39,293 of the traditional-shaped version of the portable (the PSPgo still lags way down in last), according to Media Create figures.

It's worth noting, though, that totalling PSP sales with the PSPgo comes out at 40687, while
grouping the three separate DS figures totals at 51327 - clearly Nintendo's pockets aren't suffering from PSPs storm.

Here's the full figures:

  1. PSP - 39,293
  2. Wii - 37,501
  3. DSi LL - 27,586
  4. PS3 - 24,811
  5. DSi - 18,082
  6. DS Lite - 5,659
  7. Xbox 360 - 3,428
  8. PS2 - 1,869
  9. PSP go - 1,394
