Japanese Sales Charts for week ending 03/07/2010Media Create Japanese Software Sales for week ending 07 March 2010: New Pokemon Ranger tops with 161K
Pokemon Ranger: Tracks of Light for the DS has debuted at the top of the Media Create Japanese software chart, selling 161,000 copies for the week ending the 7th of March.
.hack//Link for the PSP is also new at number 2 with 60 000 copies while Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies for the DS enters the chart at number 3 with 41,000 copies. New Super Mario Bros. Wii sticks it out at number 4 with 41,000 copies while Kenka Bancho 4 for the PSP drops to number 5 with 35,000 copies. Friend Collection is still popular at number 6 with 35,000 copies, while Nobunaga’s Ambition: Tendou for the PS3 is this week’s fourth new entry in the Top 10, new at number 7 with 33,000 copies. God Eater drops three places to number 8 with 29,000 copies and Wii Fit Plus keeps up the pace at number 9 with 26,000 copies. Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition for the PS3 drops from last week’s number 3 to tenth with 24,000 copies.
Hot Shots Tennis Portable, Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reviere, Shiren The Wanderer 4, Super Robot Wars OG all drop out of the Top 10 this week. Meanwhile a couple of new titles debut lower down the chart, Armored Core: Last Raven Portable for the PSP is new at number 12, Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride for the DS at 20, Bioshock 2 for the Xbox 360 at 25 and Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen for the DS at number 30. Everybody's Tennis Portable (PSP) Source: Media Create via el33tonline.com Over in the hardware arena, Sony’s PSP increased its lead at the top of the Japanese hardware chart during the week ended March 7, 2010, boosted by the release of a “blossom pink” model. Sales rose by almost 30,000 units week-on-week to nearly double those of the system’s closest competitor, Nintendo’s Wii. Individual rankings were unchanged from the previous week, with PS3 placing third, followed by DSi LL, DSi and DS Lite. Xbox 360, PS2 and PSPgo - which continues to perform in stark contrast to the older PSP-3000 model – rounded off the chart. Weekly hardware sales (previous week):
