Sega saw its new PSP release J-League Pro Soccer Club! 7: Euro + plant itself firmly at the top of the Japanese software sales charts last week, while Nintendo and Bandai Namco dominated the rest of the top
20.
According to data from tracking firm Media Create, and as posted on NeoGAF, the soccer title sold 101,022 units in total, knocking Nintendo's Rhythm Heaven for Wii off the top, having been there for the last two weeks. However, Rhythm Heaven still held strong at number four.
Other than the top spot, Nintendo and Namco Bandai claimed the entire top 10, with Namco Bandai's new releases All Kamen Rider: Rider Generation, Toriko: Gourmet Survival and Family Fishing taking up high positions.
Nintendo has two new releases in the top 10, Kirby Mass Attack at number two and Epic Mickey at number six. Old releases such as Wii Sports Resort and Wii Play: Motion continued to sell well.
Other new releases in the charts last week included StormLover Karen!! from DS Publisher at number 11, Starfish's Elminage III: Ankoku no Shito to Yaiyou no Kyuuden at 16 and Marvelous' Half-Minute Hero Second at 17.

Rhythm Heaven for Nintendo's Wii -- the latest in a series of rhythm games that started in 2006 -- was the top-selling game in Japan last week, providing a rare boost for the aging console. In all the game sold 118,173 copies, according to figures provided by tracking firm Media Create (as translated on the NeoGAF forums), which may have contributed to a slight boost in
Wii hardware sales, at 17,114 units from 14,237 the previous week.
Capcom's Sengoku Basara: Chronicle Heroes, the latest in a Capcom's domestically popular series of action games that has spawned two series and an upcoming feature film, came in second place at 82,798.
Marvelous and Grasshopper Manufacture's No More Heroes: Red Zone Edition for the PlayStation 3 premiered at number 3. Its 40,313 sales is a respectable figure, considering that the game -- a port of the 2007 Wii game No More Heroes -- is merely an enhanced version of last year's No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise that adds a handful of new features and PlayStation Move motion control support.
Premiering at number 8 is Atlus' Nora to Toki no Koubou: Kiri no Mori no Majo (roughly Nora and the Time Studio: The Witch of the Foggy Forest), an RPG for the Nintendo DS that is not currently scheduled for release outside of the region.
The complete top twenty chart, which include the Japanese debuts of Western-focused titles Alice: Madness Returns and Sniper: Ghost Warrior, follows:

L.A. Noire Is Japan’s Bestselling Game, Just One of Many Western Successes
Japan's hottest game right now is not made in Japan, which doesn't happen often. Maybe more surprising is that four of the top 10 games on the country's bestseller list weren't made in Japan either.
Rockstar Games and Team Bondi's L.A. Noire enjoyed first place distinction in this week's software chart, with more than 70,000 copies of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game sold overseas. Team Bondi's detective adventure was followed by Sucker Punch's Infamous 2 and Vicious Cycle's Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, the latter of which was previously handled by Japanese developer Sandlot.
One new Wii game charted, the Wii MotionPlus powered Wii Play Motion with another Wii game, the also not made in Japan Goldeneye 007 hanging tough in the top ten.
